Keep it
moving, please, even if you've seen it before.
It is the
VETERAN,
not the preacher,
who has given us freedom of religion.
It is the
VETERAN,
not the reporter,
who has given us freedom of the press.
It is the
VETERAN,
not the poet,
who has given us freedom of speech.
It is the
VETERAN,
not the campus organizer,
who has given us freedom to assemble.
It is the
VETERAN,
not the lawyer,
who has given us the right to a fair trial.
It is the
VETERAN,
not the politician,
Who has given us the right to vote.
It is the
VETERAN who
salutes the Flag,
It is the
VETERAN who
serves under the Flag,
ETERNAL REST GRANT THEM O LORD, AND LET PERPETUAL LIGHT SHINE UPON THEM.
I'd be EXTREMELY proud if this email reached as many as possible.
We can be very proud of our young men and women in the service no matter where they serve.
God Bless them all!!!
Makes you proud to be an AMERICAN!!!!! |

And it is the factory worker who gives the soldier the tools to fight, the farmer who gives him something to eat, the lawyer who gets him into the service in lieu of a prison term, the janitor who raises the flag, the store clerk who comes up with his pay, the roustabout who fuels the ship that takes him to the battle zone, the politician who decides what worthless cause he is to die for, the reporter who writes his obituary, the stonecutter who carves his gravestone, the school teacher who tells him that it's glorious to fight a war that benefits some other country, and the stockbroker who gets rich from selling stocks of companies that get away with all sorts of nasty deeds because the US military allows them to misbehave.
A man who voluntarily stands in harm's way to protect the innocent is to be honored. A voter who demands that others be ordered put in harm's way is a devil. |

Find a nit and a nitwit will pick it.
And the Revolutionary War & Civil War
veterans to which none of the above
need be applied to?
I wonder how the working conditions
in a factory compare to the frozen ground
in Korea or the jungles of VietNam?
Your soapbox is not appreciated today. |

Quite a patriot there Paul, but a lot of brave men died so you can have the right to disrespect their sacrifice, on this day of all days.
